Let’s be honest; even today, this still means defying societal norms and challenging stereotypes that limit our potential. On top of this, navigating the complexities that a career and motherhood bring on their own, let alone combined, can be a challenge. The good thing is we are said to be great at multitasking, just to throw in a stereotype of my own.
As a mother of four (expecting my fifth), an entrepreneur, and manager – no I don’t refer to my team at home, but a team of global experts working for Germany’s largest software company—I would like to share my experience with you. It pains me that I see way too few women aspiring to go into management roles (with and without kids), and the ones who do usually believe they cannot start a family while actively pursuing their career.
